1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray LT-1. Stock #470
Car History: It isn't very often that collectors get a chance to buy an original numbers matching and restored LT-1 1971 Corvette. But that is what we have here at Adventure Classics. It is a very nice 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray LT-1 Coupe in Steel Cities Gray paint, LT-1 350 cubic inch engine, and a #400 Black interior, with a 4-speed transmission as well.
Engine & Drivetrain: Our 1971 Corvette Stingray has the iconic numbers matching solid lifter small block 350 cubic inch LT-1 engine which had boasted 330 horsepower with a 9.0:1 compression ratio, four-barrel carb, aluminum high rise intake, correct Chevy Orange paint on the block and heads, original air cleaner with chrome lid, great looking performance spark plug wires, aluminum finned valve covers, chrome ignition shielding, cast iron exhaust manifolds, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, and all sitting in a period correct, painted, and detailed engine compartment. It is by far the one of most tractable small block engines that Corvette ever made and it idles smoothly with the 4- speed transmission, but from outside the car there's still that rumble to let any and all know this is solid-lift small block. The dual exhausts emit a nice note and the gearing assures restful freeway cruising. It also assures acceleration times with a top speed of over 140 mph. It rides on the steel factory Rally wheels with chrome center caps and trim rings and wears Cooper Cobra Classic Radial GT raised white letter tires and the fully-independent sports suspension rides and tracks well.
Interior: The nice as new looking black interior (confirmed by the Trim Tag code #400) is in excellent condition, the T-tops never go out of style, the black carpets are great, as are the door panels. It has AM/FM Stereo radio, fiber-optic bulb indicators in the console, a 4-speed manual shifter in the center console, black Corvette steering wheel, dual pod speedometer/tachometer with a full gauge package, seatbelts, floor mats, great side rocker panels.
Exterior: Our 1971 Corvette comes re-painted in Steel Cities Gray paint and looks great from all angles with its long, raised LT-1 hood, great chrome and trim, shark-like front bumper, two-piece rear bumper, rocker panels, window trim, and fender grilles. The entire car, body, engine, interior, chrome trim, Corvette badging, LT-1 decals on the hood, dual chrome exhaust tips, and chrome luggage rack looks as new!
Conclusion: This is a great color combo we have on this very nice LT-1 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray we have here at Adventure Classics.
